How one Edible client protected consumers, suppliers, customers from bad Georgia peanuts

Edible Software, we've sent out our share of press releases over the years. Our recent press release about the peanut salmonella scare generated more interest than any of them.

This release involved a voluntary food recall by Don Shapiro Produce, Inc., an Edible Software client. Don Shapiro Produce recalled a private-label snack product that may have been manufactured with peanuts that originated from the Georgia processing plant blamed for a nationwide outbreak of salmonella-related illness.

Our press release provided a link to the actual Boston TV news report in which a Don Shapiro Produce executive attributed his company's  recall efforts to the "excellent computer system  and a great database" that provided them with the needed recall information.
